If you are a music lover and own an iPod / iPhone / Computer, then you should give this fantastic Dock a chance by testing it.
It is not only
a comfortable audiophile Source, but convinces also with versatility.

Unfortunately the analog-output of iPods/iPhones is not comparable with the audiophile soundquality, which is possible if the data are precisely acquired in digital format from a high-quality Dock. Because if this audiostream is converted from a good DAC into the analog format and auditioned with a good hifi set, then some audiophile magic-moments can be experienced.
This is the best sounding ipod Dock available, with true audiophile digital readout and transfer.

This dockingstation is technically excellent crafted, works superb and is a real opportunity.

Audio files of the iPods/iPhones are read out and transmitted digitally from the Docking Station.

• differences between the AQVOX and the stock version:

• AQVOX Low-Noise Powersupply (~140-260V 50/60 Hz) (also available separately, please ask)
• et. al. improved COAX-Output ( from 90 Ohm to 75 Ohm corrected )

• A clearly audible improvement compared to the stock-powersupply will be achieved with the instead provided
AQVOX Low-Noise powersupply.

• The COAX-Output should be preferred to the TOSlink-Output, and the use of a quality COAX Digitalcable ist required.
A test of the excellent AQVOX COAX Digitalcable is recommended.

• The sound quality of most downloadable songs is wors compared to slowly self ripped CD´s.
For optimum sound quality the files should be safed in Apple Lossless, AIFF or WAV.

!! Lossy formats like MP3 and the like should be avoided.

Ideal, for supplying DAC´and other devices with COAX or TOSlink input with audio-files from Computer via USB. This is called streaming and works up to 48kHz 16bit ( CD is 44.1kHz 16bit ).

iTunes via remote: the provided remote lets control also the Computer, very comfortable !

Here you see the video ( RCA ) optical- ( TOS ) and electrical ( COAX-RCA ) outputs and the USB-port.
The composite video-output delivers no HD-signal.

Adventages of the AQVOX USB Low-Noise Power Supply:

1. With the AQVOX USB Power Supply the power supply of the USB chip in the DAC is electrically isolated, that means elimination of unwanted ground loops and disturbances.

2. The quality of the power supply of the USB chip in the DAC is drastically improved, resulting in a clearly discernible sound improvement. With most USB DACs the connected computer feeds the USB chip with 5 V voltage power. However, alongside with the regular 5 V voltage 30 mV up to 150 mV noise voltage are being transmitted.

3. Some USB devices lose their settings as soon as the comuter is being switched off. With the AQVOX USB Power Supply those devices keep their settings permanently.

Technical Specifications:

1. Power supply with conventional transformer (no switching power supply)
2. Stabilized and regulated with approx. 4700 µF filter capacity
2. No galvanic connection of the powerlines between computer and USB-device
3. Output voltage: approx. 5 Volt and powerful 1 Ampere
4. Ripple & Noise: approx. 1 mV  (battery-notebooks or desktop-PCs have 30-200mV Noise)
5. AC power input: 140 V - 260 V (not suitable for the USA, Canada, Japan)
6. IEC-AC power socket compatible for all countries
7. Short-circuit-proofed
8. USB Adapter: B-male to B-female, 4 cm length
9. Cable length from Power Supply to USB-Adapter: 150 cm
10. Lenght of the power cord: 150 cm
11. Weight: in total approx. 750 g
12. Suitable for many devices, USB DACs, USB hard disk drives, USB toS/PDIF converters

Some examples of sources that induce disturbances (ripple & noise) to the power supply of a cpmputer:

1. Backlight of computer monitors: The necessary high voltage of approx. 900 V for LCD/TFT monitors is generated by inverters which produce ripple and noise.

2. Hard disk drives: The actuators of the recording/reading heads produce interference voltage with each acceleration or deceleration

3. Clock generators and chips of a computer like e.g. the CPU, northbridge, RAM or graphics adapter cause disturbances and noise.

4. Power supplies of notebooks and desktop PCs are not designed for lowest interference voltage and noise, since this is extra costs, not necessarily needed.

and so on...
